Pascuali Cashmere Delizia embodies this philosophy perfectly. The name Delizia comes from the Italian word for “delight” or “delicacy” – and that’s exactly what this yarn is: a true delight for the senses.   

It’s an innovative chenille yarn made from the finest cashmere, offering a rare balance of structure and softness. Unlike traditional chenille yarn, which is often made using synthetic fibres, this luxurious yarn is crafted from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats. The fibres are organically certified Mongolian highland cashmere, elevating the chenille concept into something truly exceptional. 

The result is a soft yarn with a distinctive velvet-like finish, created using a specialised chainette structure rather than a conventional twisted core. This technique allows the fibres to retain their natural loft and movement, producing a plush yet durable fabric that feels light on the skin while still offering warmth and breathability. 

Sourced from the highlands of Mongolia, the cashmere used in Pascuali Cashmere Delizia is renowned for its fine fibre diameter and exceptional quality. The production process takes place at the prestigious Cariaggi Mill in Italy, partly owned by Chanel and Brunello Cucinelli, known globally for its expertise in producing luxurious yarns for leading fashion houses such as Loro Piana. Every stage of production is monitored by strict Swiss quality control standards, including RAF (Responsible Animal Fibre) and SFA (Sustainable Fibre Alliance). 

Thanks to its unique chenille structure, the yarn is exceptionally lightweight yet voluminous. Although it’s knitted with 5 mm needles, you’ll need less yarn compared to conventional yarns that are worked with 3.5 mm needles. The yarn weight corresponds to a worsted weight with 12 WPI, resulting in a wonderfully soft and even stitch definition. 

The versatility of this luxurious yarn makes it ideal for elegant, wearable pieces. Its structure provides beautiful drape and even stitch definition, making it especially suited to accessories such as scarves, hats and wraps, as well as timeless knitwear pieces that sit gently against the skin.
