Knitted Home began twelve years ago with a love for yarn, making, and a deep appreciation for handmade things.
It started with memories of the sweaters my grandmother made for me when I was a child. Not so much how they looked, but how they made me feel: loved, warm, and cared for. Years later, when I picked up my own knitting needles to make things for my children, that feeling found its way back to me.
I understand the thought, time, and care that go into every handmade piece. That is why I care deeply about choosing yarns that feel right for the projects they become. Yarns that are enjoyable to work with, perfect to their purpose, and worthy of the time you put into making.
What began as a carefully selected collection of natural fibre yarns has grown into a more focused family business, with cashmere now at the heart of what we do. We are proud to offer one of the largest selections of cashmere hand-knitting yarns in the UK, alongside other natural fibre yarns chosen to support different projects and seasons.
Every yarn we bring into the store is chosen with care, experience, and purpose. We look for fibres with character and quality: yarns that feel comforting in the hands, joyful on the needles, and become pieces worthy of being loved and treasured.
