Made from 100% extra fine merino wool fibers, DROPS Merino Extra Fine is a warm and super soft yarn, that's gentle on the skin, and therefore great for baby and children garments. Spun from multiple thin strands, it gives beautiful, even stitches, and it’s Ideal for textured patterns such as cables and seed stitch. Garments made in this yarn are very comfortable, have extra elasticity and great surface quality. It is this special construction that makes it important to use the correct tension in your project, so use a tight tension rather than a loose one.
DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn is superwash treated, which means it's machine washable and suitable for everyday use; but when washing your garments you must be extra careful and follow closely the care instructions. This yarn is spun from fibers from free-range, mulesing free animals from South America, DROPS Merino Extra Fine is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 25.3.0110), Standard 100, Class I from the INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. Class I is the highest level, and it means the yarn is suitable for baby articles (ages 0-3).

Lovely yarn, nice to knit with too
I really wish this lovely yarn shop wasn’t closing. I have bought yarn from here many times, and was always satisfied with the quality, and the service. They carry my go to yarn brand, Drops, that I use for almost every project. A lovely selection of yarns, and a wonderful seller. I’m heartbroken to be saying goodbye. I wish you all the brightest of futures, and happy knitting.
Just arrived today going to be doing a baby blanket with it as it was recomended in the pattern . Colour as near as possible as it is in photo . I just started knitting with the first ball and before i even cast on 60 stitches there was a knot where the wool was joined then after 14 rows yet another knot joining the wool . This is a baby blanket i am knitting so not happy that i am having to join the wool all the time . This cost me around £50 for the wool . I have never had this with any other wool

Beautiful! But this yarn grows like crazy! Be sure to wash and swatch! I had to size down from 4mm to 2.75 to hit gauge!
I have not started knitting this yarn yet. It will be a winter project but I have knitted Drops Merino Extra Fine before,and it is lovely to knit, wear, and wash.

I have been using Drops Extra Fine Merino for many garments - I think it’s my favourite. Good range of colours and very good stitch definition.
Ive never seen or touched that yarn but the friend I sent it to who is knitting it up informs me it is beautiful yarn- perfect for the pattern. Looking forward to wearing this adult size Norwegian patterned design, ribbed jumper this Christmas. Happy me!
