Made from soft baby alpaca and cosy merino wool sourced from South Africa and crafted in Peru, Drops Air lives up to its name. The fibres are blown into a tube rather than traditionally spun – a method known as blow yarn – making it around 35% lighter than standard spun yarns.

This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 22.HPE.07484), Standard 100, Class II from the Hohenstein Institute. This means that is has been tested for harmful substances and is considered safe in human-ecological terms. Class II means the yarn is suitable to come in direct contact with the skin to a large extent, such as blouses, shirts, mattresses, etc.

No complaints about this yarn. It does as it says - light as air. Knits up well. I have used it instead of Rowan Classic. Not quite finished my garment, but looks good.

First time using this yarn, and so far only knitted a swatch for a project. It’s knitted up beautifully, gauge is perfect and I love the colour, and the softness. Will definitely be using this yarn again.

I am knitting a top down jumper with colourwork in Drops Air and just loving it. The yarn is light, fluffy and warm, just what is needed.
I ordered the "Wheat" colour as it was advertised on the website as available. However I received a call to advise that it was now out of stock, but the consultant was extremely helpful and offered an alternative, slightly darker, shade which has worked well. I would use this company again because of this example of good customer service.
