Brushed cashmere differs slightly from traditional cashmere due to its specialist finishing process. The fibres are gently brought out using finely calibrated brushes to lift the softest fibres to the surface without causing damage. 

This delicate process creates an ultra-soft, velvety texture with a beautiful cloud-like halo effect, often referred to as fluffy cashmere. Importantly, this finish is achieved using natural cashmere fibres only, sometimes with a silk core for added strength and lustre with no synthetic alterations, keeping it a 100% natural yarn. 

The result is a yarn with enhanced softness, warmth and a rich visual impact. Its relaxed drape and exceptional cosiness make it especially popular for baby knits, lightweight top, loungewear, oversized sweaters and cold-weather accessories such as scarves, beanies and mittens.
